Our review
Comparative analysis · updated October 2, 2026A credible but rougher alternative: 900 W and 40 N·m for $110 less than the Hypershell X Carbon. Range and strap comfort fall behind Hypershell, and it ships with one battery. Consider it when price is the deciding factor.

Pros
- 900 W peak and 40 N·m of torque, a firm push uphill
- The least expensive motor above 800 W in our comparison, $510 below the X Ultra
- The lightest hip model in our comparison: 4.9 lb with its battery
- Battery swaps in seconds, with no tools
Cons
- Straps that ride up and a belt that runs warm
- Disappointing real-world range: half the battery is used in 90 minutes at the maximum setting
Who it's for
Buyers who want the most motor for the least money and mostly use it in short sessions.
Who it's not for
Anyone who needs predictable range over a full day: the Hypershell X Carbon ships with two batteries.
