Pros
- 1,100 W peak, a notch above the 1,000 W X Ultra and X Ultra S
- Two batteries in the box: 31.1 miles combined, each recharged in about 65 minutes
- 16 recognized movements and assist up to 17.4 mph
- Modular belt, with a knee module in development according to Ascentiz
Cons
- The X Ultra costs $300 less and offers 37.3 miles instead of 31.1
- No wall charger in the box, only a cable: the 65-minute recharge needs a 100 W USB-C charger
- Support still to be proven: one Kickstarter backer, otherwise satisfied, described a badly planned launch

Frequently asked questions
Ascentiz H Ultra or Hypershell X Ultra S: which one?
The H Ultra costs $300 less than the X Ultra S (prices checked Oct 1, 2026), weighs about the same (5.5 lb against 5.6 lb) and has more power, 1,100 W against 1,000 W.
The X Ultra S has more range, 37.3 miles against 31.1, and a better support score in our grid. If range matters most, the X Ultra matches the X Ultra S on range for $300 less than the H Ultra.
What do I get over the H Pro for $400 more?
For $400 more (prices checked Oct 1, 2026), you get a second battery (31.1 miles combined against 15.5), 100 W more peak power, a titanium frame, 16 recognized movements instead of 12, and assist up to 17.4 mph instead of 15.5.
What should I plan for besides the price?
Ascentiz ships from a US warehouse in 2 to 7 business days, and two batteries are in the box, so there is no battery to buy.
Plan for a 100 W USB-C charger if you do not own one, since only a cable is included.
